Our Academy and Afterschool Program will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026 in observance of Presidents Day.
Why do we celebrate Presidents Day?
Presidents Day is a time to honor the leaders who have served as President of the United States, especially George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
George Washington is honored as the first President of the United States and is often called the “Father of Our Country.” He helped lead the nation through its very beginning and set important examples for how a president should lead.
Abraham Lincoln is remembered for leading the country during the Civil War and for working to end slavery. His leadership helped keep the United States together during one of its most difficult times.
Because of their powerful impact on our nation’s history, leadership, and values, Presidents Day especially honors George Washington and Abraham Lincoln—along with all U.S. presidents who have served our country.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday!
